EHEIM Shut-off Tap for Hose Ø 9/12 mm | Quick Release Double ConnectorStreamline your aquarium care routine with the EHEIM Shut-off Tap for 9/12 mm hoses. Designed for the discerning aquarist who values efficiency, cleanliness, and safety, this essential accessory transforms the often-dreaded task of filter maintenance into a quick and simple process. Say goodbye to messy spills, buckets, and the hassle of re-priming your external filter every time you need to perform a cleaning. This high-quality connector is an indispensable tool for anyone running an external canister filter, UV sterilizer, reactor, or any other in-line equipment, ensuring your focus remains on the beauty of your aquatic world, not on the plumbing.Achieve Mess-Free MaintenanceThe primary benefit of the EHEIM Shut-off Tap is its ability to completely isolate a piece of equipment from your aquarium´s plumbing system. By installing a tap on both the inlet and outlet hoses of your filter, you can easily close the valves, unscrew the quick-release coupling, and carry the filter away for cleaning without a single drop of water escaping the hoses. The water remains in the tubing, eliminating the need to re-siphon and making reconnection effortless. This not only keeps your floors dry but also preserves the beneficial bacteria in your filter and hoses by preventing them from drying out.Effortless Hose DisconnectionEHEIM Quick Release Double Tap: With a flick of the wrist, you can disconnect and connect the hose safely, cleanly and without water backflow. Used with EHEIM quality hoses, they make perfectly safe and functional hose connections. Available in different sizes and types. This intuitive system features two integrated ball valves. When you´re ready to disconnect, simply turn both levers to the closed position and unscrew the central locking nut. The connection separates into two sealed, watertight halves, providing a truly seamless experience.Precise Water Flow ControlBeyond maintenance, this shut-off tap serves as a valuable flow regulator. The levers can be partially opened or closed to finely adjust the water flow rate through your system. This is incredibly useful for reducing the output of a powerful filter in a tank with delicate fish or plants, or for slowing the flow during feeding times to ensure all inhabitants get their share. This dual functionality makes it a versatile component for managing your aquarium´s specific hydraulic needs.Key Features:* Quick-Release Coupling: Allows for fast and secure separation and reconnection of hoses without tools.* Integrated Dual Valves: Provides complete control to stop water flow from both the tank and the equipment side.* Leak-Proof Design: Engineered for a secure, watertight seal, giving you peace of mind against leaks and water damage.* Intuitive Operation: Ergonomic levers and a robust locking nut make the tap simple to use for any aquarist.* Durable EHEIM Quality: Built to last, ensuring reliable performance and longevity in both freshwater and marine environments.Attributes: Fish, Water tapsSpecifications:* Hose Compatibility : Ø 9/12 mm* Connector tap for hose Ø 12/16 mm. tradeinn Bricoinn
