This 5-litre tin features Black Jack all-weather roof coating, a brushable bitumen compound reinforced with added fibres for strength. It is designed for extensive waterproofing across a range of applications, including roofing, structural steelwork, and non-plastic guttering, and is suitable for winter use. The coating re-seals slates, tiles, metal sheeting (lead, zinc, steel, iron), asbestos-cement sheeting, concrete roof decks, built-up felt roofs, and asphalt. It covers about 1.25 m² per litre, with two coats yielding a dried film of roughly 0.9 m. Tools should be cleaned with white spirit or paraffin. Proper surface preparation is crucial; surfaces should be clean, stable, and free of debris. A stiff-bristled brush and fungicidal wash help remove fungi and algae to ensure long-lasting adhesion.

Usage and prep
