Exo Terra Coco Husk Tropical Terrarium Substrate Brick 8.8LCreate the perfect naturalistic habitat for your humidity-loving reptiles and amphibians with the Exo Terra Coco Husk Tropical Terrarium Substrate. This premium, 100% natural substrate is the ideal choice for pet owners looking to replicate a tropical forest floor, promoting the health, comfort, and instinctual behaviours of their animals.Sourced from the fibrous husks of coconuts grown in tropical Asia, this ecological substrate is not only sustainable but also exceptionally effective at maintaining the high humidity levels required by many species. Its remarkable ability to absorb and slowly release moisture helps to create a stable and comfortable microclimate within the terrarium, preventing dehydration and aiding in the shedding process.Key Benefits:* Optimal Humidity Control: Naturally absorbs and retains water, increasing ambient humidity to create a perfect tropical environment. This is essential for the respiratory health and proper shedding of species from rainforests and other humid regions.* Encourages Natural Behaviours: The soft, loose texture of the expanded coco husk stimulates your pet´s natural instinct to dig, burrow, and nest. This provides essential enrichment, reduces stress, and allows them to thermoregulate and hide as they would in the wild.* Hygienic and Safe: The substrate is heat-treated to reduce contamination and ensure a safe environment for your pet. Its excellent absorption properties help to trap animal waste and odours, making spot cleaning simple and effective, contributing to a cleaner, healthier habitat.Main Features:The Exo Terra Coco Husk comes in a convenient, space-saving compressed brick format. When water is added, the brick expands significantly to yield a generous volume of soft, ready-to-use substrate. This makes storage easy and preparation straightforward. The resulting substrate is perfect for establishing bioactive terrariums, as it provides an excellent rooting medium for live plants, helping you to build a truly living ecosystem for your pet. Its soft consistency ensures it is gentle on the skin and feet of even the most delicate amphibians and reptiles. How to Use:Place the compressed brick in an appropriately sized container or bucket. Add approximately 3-4 litres of lukewarm water. Allow the brick to sit for 20-30 minutes as it fully absorbs the water and expands to its full volume. Wring out any excess moisture to achieve the desired humidity level and spread the substrate evenly across the terrarium floor to a depth of 3-5 cm (1-2 inches).Technical Specifications:* Product: Exo Terra Coco Husk Brick* Expanded Volume: 8.8 Litres (approx. 8 Quarts)* Format: Compressed Dry Brick* Attributes: Reptiles, Substrates* Ideal For: Frogs, Salamanders, Toads, Geckos, Snakes, and burrowing invertebrates.Exo terra coco husk (7l).Coco husk 8.8l tropical terrarium substrate brick.Pet supplies.Aquariums and terrariums. tradeinn Bricoinn
