Solvent-based water-repellent, It penetrates deeply into the material and protects it from the degradation caused by water, limiting its absorption. Ideal for exposed walls and concrete, it can also be used on floors in stone and unpolished agglomerates to prevent water absorption. Hydrorep by FILA protects joints and provides a breathing, long-lasting and restorable protection, without altering the aesthetics of the materials. The effective water-repellent effect provides the stone with protection against the formation of mould, moss and lichen. Hydrorep is anti-efflorescence. It can be used as a precaution to prevent efflorescence from forming on the material and spoiling it. Efflorescence forms when moisture evaporates and creeps up through the material, carrying the salts naturally contained in stone or in the screed. It appears like a white powder that, if neglected, may lead to the material breaking or the plaster detaching. It is commonly seen in floors, stone or brick walls or plastered surfaces. Hydrorep does not yellow under any environmental condition and has high penetration properties. It has a high yield, one litre of product can cover a 20-sq.m. area, depending on the absorption ability of the stone it is applied on.
