A high-quality, high-performance broadcast AM bandstop (notch) filter designed for software-defined radio (SDR) applications. Includes free male SMA-male SMA barrel connector! Flamingo+ AM was designed to provide approximately 70dB attenuation for broadcast AM frequencies while ensuring that adjacent bands are minimally affected. The -3dB rolloff of the filter is 300kHz and 1900kHz. The minuscule out-of-band insertion losses mean that the filter can stay in place for most any application -- though we do recommend removing Flamingo+ AM from the signal chain when not receiving HF frequencies Flamingo+ AM can pass-through DC (bias-tee) power when required. DC current handling is 200mA (max) Flamingo+ AM makes a great companion to our Ham It Up series of HF upconverters (available separately on Amazon) The notch filter is fully EMI shielded and installed in a custom anodized aluminum enclosure for further protection and isolation.
