Forestier Cymbal S table lamp, powder pink

Cymbal designer table lamp with velvet and linen lampshade Berlin-born, Barcelona-based designer Jette Scheib has developed a series of lights called Cymbal for French designer lighting manufacturer Forestier. Cymbal is characterised by its lampshade, which stands out both for its shape and its material. True to the name of the lamp, the lampshade appears to be composed of two cymbals, the lower one made of linen and the upper one of velvet. A small wooden element at the top and a rise and fall mechanism that has a slightly historical feel round off the unusual yet simple design. Designer Jette Scheib says the following about the importance of lighting: "You can have the softest sofa, but if the lighting isn't good, you won't sit comfortably."
