Designer table lamp Cymbal with Samt linen lampshade The Berlin-based designer Jette Scheib, who lives in Barcelona, has developed a lamp series called Cymbal for the French designer lamp manufacturer Forestier. Cymbal is characterised by its lampshade, which stands out both for its shape and its material. True to the name of the luminaire, the lampshade appears to be made up of two cymbals, the lower one made of linen and the upper one of Samt. A small wooden element at the top and a rise and fall mechanism that looks a little historic round off the unusual yet simple design. Designer Jette Scheib says the following about the importance of lighting: "You can have the softest couch, but if the lighting isn't good, you won't be comfortable."
