Designer table lamp Cymbal with velvet-linen shade Jette Scheib, a designer from Berlin who lives in Barcelona, has developed a series of lights called Cymbal for the French design light manufacturer Forestier. Characteristic for Cymbal is the shade, which attracts attention both through its shape and the material. True to the lamp name, the shade seems to be composed of two cymbals, the lower one made of linen, the upper one of velvet. A small wooden element at the top and a drawstring pendulum, which looks a little bit historical, round off the unusual and yet so simple-looking design. Designer Jette Scheib says the following about the importance of lighting: "You can have the softest couch, but if the lighting isn't good for it, you won't sit comfortably."
