Floor lamp Grass with wide, handmade shade of natural materials The wide, plate-shaped shade of the floor lamp Grass was made in harmOnious colors in a striped design from the natural material Abacà. This plant fiber is obtained from the inner part of the abacà tree and is characterized by high tensile strength and durability, which is why it is also used, for example, for the manufacture of ship ropes. On the wide, flat shade was attached downward a small screen of raffia fibers, which veils the bulb and thus ensures a glare-free light radiation. The frame of the floor lamp Grass is made of black metal and decorated with a decorative wood detail. The design of the floor lamp Grass comes from Jette Scheib, who designed the series of lamps for the French manufacturer Forestier. After studying at the University of the Arts in Berlin, product designer Jette Scheib founded her studio in Barcelona in 2005. She specializes in the design of lighting, home accessories and gifts and designs products for many international companies. Inspired by nature and organic shapes, Jette Scheib designs products with personality that have the power to create well-being around them.

Grass Floor lamp Blue is a beautiful lighting collection with a consistent and coherent design. The series consists of wall, table, floor and pendant lights in a variety of sizes and colours. What they all have in common is their beautifully woven lampshade in rattan and abacá, a type of banana tree native to the Philippines, which is known for its strong plant fibres used in the production of rope and cordage. The durable material and tight weave give the lampshade a firm, almost curve-like appearance that beautifully combines the potential of the natural material with skilful and well-executed design craftsmanship. The larger versions of the lamp have a wide, flat lampshade and are therefore equipped with a diffuser that shields the light bulb and thus prevents the light source from glare. The light can therefore shine softly and comfortably on all sides. At the same time, the extra wide lampshade ensures a diffused light emission to effectively illuminate the surroundings.
