Table lamp Grass with handmade Raffia and Abacá shade On a black metal frame with ornamental wood detail sits the special handmade shade of the table lamp Grass. This shade has been hand woven and is made of Abacá, a plant fiber that comes from the inner part of the Abacá tree and is known for high tensile strength and durability, which is why this fiber is also used, for example, to make ship ropes. Another component of the umbrella is raffia, a fiber obtained by hand from the unopened leaf of the African raffia palm, also called buri palm. Warm color combinations in a striped design make the table lamp a light source that brings comfort and naturalness to any room. Grass table lamp was made by the French manufacturer Forestier, its design comes from the designer Jette Scheib. Jette Scheib studied at the University of the Arts in Berlin, founded her own studio in Barcelona in 2005 and designs products for international companies, specializing in the design of home accessories, lighting and gifts. Her designs are inspired by nature and organic forms.

Grass Table Lamp Blue is a beautiful lighting collection with a consistent and coherent design. The series consists of wall, table, floor and pendant lights in a variety of sizes and colours. What they all have in common is their beautifully woven lampshade in rattan and abacá, a type of banana tree native to the Philippines, which is known for its strong plant fibres used in the production of rope and cordage. The durable material and tight weave give the lampshade a firm, almost curve-like appearance that beautifully combines the potential of the natural material with skilful and well-executed design craftsmanship. The larger versions of the lamp have a wide, flat lampshade and are therefore equipped with a diffuser that shields the light bulb and thus prevents the light source from glare. The light can therefore shine softly and comfortably on all sides. At the same time, the extra wide lampshade ensures a diffused light emission to effectively illuminate the surroundings.
