Handmade pendant lamp Parrot L with colorful shade of rattan and abacá Parrot - the English name for parrot is reflected in the design of the eponymous pendant lamp from the French lighting manufacturer Forestier. The pendant lamp catches the eye in particular by its strikingly designed shade, which was made of the materials rattan and Abacá and is held in different, warm colors. The suspension consists of a textile cable, while the canopy was made of metal. Both elements were designed in neutral black. On the inside of the shade is also the bulb holder, which is enclosed in a diffuser. The light is thus emitted glare-free to the surroundings. The product designer Jette Scheib is responsible for the design of the Parrot luminaire collection. She was inspired by the diversity and cultural influence in the design of baskets and underlines with Parrot the colorful and expressive facet of basket culture.

Parrot is a colourful lamp with a beautiful natural design that makes it a must-have in any relaxed and bohemian-inspired interior. The lampshade is made of rattan and abacá, which are hand-woven in a dense pattern and have a rough surface that adds a tactile element to the lamp's design and emphasises its beautiful aesthetics. As the name suggests, the lamp is inspired by the colourful plumage and exuberance of the parrot. The colours interact beautifully in a cubist pattern that gives the surface a beautiful play of colour without appearing kitschy. The lampshade is relatively wide so it does not impede light emission. The lamp is part of a whole series that includes pendant, table, floor and wall lights in many different sizes. All come in three different colour schemes based on the shades brown, green and sand.
