Handmade pendant lamp Parrot M from rattan and abaca The pendant lamp Parrot M is made of rattan and abacá, a plant native to East Asia, which is used, for example, to make ropes, fishing nets or ropes. This look is reminiscent of the handmade shade of the pendant lamp, which is composed of superimposed strips that are colored differently and thus create unusual patterns. The shade thus becomes a special eye-catcher and also sets a natural accent in the living environment. Parrot M can be ideally mounted above the living room or dining room table. Inside the shade is the bulb holder, which is surrounded by a diffuser. Thus, the light is emitted to the surroundings without glare. The Parrot M collection of lamps was designed by Jette Scheib. Before she started her own studio in 2005, she studied product design at the University of the Arts in Berlin. Since 2018, she has been focusing mainly on interior and lighting design, drawing inspiration from nature and organic forms. The renowned French company Forestier is responsible for the production of the lights.

Parrot is a colourful lamp with a beautiful natural design that makes it a must-have in any relaxed and bohemian-inspired interior. The lampshade is made of rattan and abacá, which are hand-woven in a dense pattern and have a rough surface that adds a tactile element to the lamp's design and emphasises its beautiful aesthetics. As the name suggests, the lamp is inspired by the colourful plumage and exuberance of the parrot. The colours interact beautifully in a cubist pattern that gives the surface a beautiful play of colour without appearing kitschy. The lampshade is relatively wide so it does not impede light emission. The lamp is part of a whole series that includes pendant, table, floor and wall lights in many different sizes. All come in three different colour schemes based on the shades brown, green and sand.
