Movable Caravaggio™ wall light with plug and switch This wall light can be used in a variety of ways in living rooms, offices or bedrooms. It is made entirely of die-cast zinc. Its arm can be adjusted and, thanks to the flexible neck, the lampshade can also be swivelled to perfectly align the light to individual requirements. A toggle switch is built into the wall mount for convenient operation. Thanks to the long PVC plug cable, the Caravaggio™ wall lamp can be installed anywhere where there is a socket nearby. Caravaggio™ was designed by Cecilie Manz, a Danish designer who came into contact with the world of design early on in her life through her artist parents. After studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and a semester abroad at the University of Art and Andes in Helsinki, she founded her own Studio. In her work - designing furniture, lights, ceramics and accessories for the home - she focuses on interpreting the Scandinavian tradition of simplicity with a modern, international expression. The work of the well-known, award-winning designer - Manz has been honoured with the Berlin Art Prize (2008) and the Bruno Mathsson Prize (2009), among others - can be seen in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Design Museum Danmark. The FRITZ HANSEN company was founded in 1885 after the cabinetmaker Fritz Hansen was granted a trading licence for Copenhagen in 1872. The company gained a high reputation for its high-quality products and collaboration with well-known designers in the first 50 years of its existence. The premium quality characterises the products of the company, which has no longer been family-owned since 1979, but is now largely owned by Skandinavisk Holding. Since its launch in the 1930s, high-quality furniture made of plywood has been the Fritz Hansen trademark. Many renowned architects and designers, such as Arne Jacobsen, Hans J. Wegner and Verner Panton, have worked with Fritz Hansen.

Lamp MastersCecilie Manz’s overall goal with this elegant collection was to create a simple and soft shape. A design icon since its launch in 2005, the Caravaggio family has grown to include table and floor lamps in a range of sophisticated colours and finishes and is more popular today than ever. During the design process the lamp evolved through a series of different shapes, resulting in Caravaggio’s softly feminine lines. The depth of the shade ensures that the pendant doesn’t create glare regardless of where you place it. Furthermore, Caravaggio Read is equipped with small slits in the top of the lampshade to ensure an upward-facing light. The Caravaggio Read wall lamp in Black is delivered with two different mounting brackets. The large one can be mounted over a socket, so the lamp has no visible wiring, whereas the small one includes a cable. The switch is mounted under the bracket to ensure that it is discreet yet easily accessible.
