The Kaiser idell™ Luxus table lamp – designed by Christian Dell (1893-1974) – is an eye-catching feature in any room, even when unlit. When switched on, its asymmetrical lampshade with patented swivel joint provides effective lighting for office work. The table lamp – launched in 1936 – visually embodies the popular Bauhaus style. Its creator, the German Christian Dell, a silversmith and teacher of industrial design by profession, already taught as a master craftsman at the Bauhaus in Weimar. The two-tone colour scheme of this model is particularly decorative: while the lampshade is painted in a glossy colour, the brass frame has a decorative chrome finish. Like the entire Kaiser idell™ series of lights, the Kaiser idell™ Luxus table lamp is manufactured by FRITZ HANSEN in Denmark. Since its foundation almost 150 years ago, the company has been synonymous with the production of incomparable designs by renowned designers such as Verner Panton, Kaare Klint, Cecilie Manz, Bodil Kjær and others.

The Kaiser Idell Table Lamp model 6631-T in high-gloss black offers precision techniques and excellent craftsmanship. Its unique and high quality exudes originality, but also offers exceptional sculptural quality and a stringently clean design. The collection is focused on the patented swivel joint and the incredibly characteristic shade is easy to recognise, thanks to the stamp on the top that confirms the project to be an “ORIGINAL KAISER-idell”. The original lamps in the collection started selling in 1936 and to this day, they are characterised by their excellent German design, impeccable choices of material, and precision technique.
