Gina is approved to treat vaginal atrophy caused by ooestrogen deficiency in postmenopausal women aged 50 and up who have not had a period in at least a year. Gina is a vaginal ooestrogen therapy that is slowly released into the vagina. Gina treats and relieves menopausal vaginal symptoms such as dryness, soreness, itching, and burning. Ingredients: Estradiol 10 micrograms is the active ingredient (as estradiol hemihydrate). 10 micrograms estradiol are contained in each vaginal tablet (as estradiol hemihydrate). The following ingredients are also present: hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, maize starch, and magnesium stearate. The film coating contains the following ingredients: hypromellose and macrogol 6000. How much to use: For the first two weeks of treatment, take one vaginal tablet per day. Use one vaginal tablet twice a week as a maintenance dose. Allow 3 to 4 days between doses.
