Glenmorangie Port Wood Finish Single Malt Scotch 12 year old 43% ABV Nose: Strawberry shortbread, red berries dusted with icing sugar, bramble jelly, some earthier/fruitier liquorice notes, sweet cured ham, raspberry coulis, pink vanilla wafers. Palate: Red cherry and fruity liquorice, cranberry, red jelly, fragrant herbs, spicy wood, malty with earthy and leathery notes. Jam on brown bread and some crunchy tannins. Finish: More red berry jam, malty bread, strawberry shortbread, aromatic spices, frgrant wood (pot purri) drying into herbal and earthy tannins along with some savoury honey glazed christmas ham.
