Founded in 1843 in the Royal Burgh of Tain, in the far north of Scotland, Glenmorangie is Scotland's Favourite Single Malt Scotch Whisky. ON THE EYES: Deep ochre ON THE NOSE: Touches of honey, hazelnuts, mandarin oranges and toffee are followed by fragrant top notes, including sweet ripening barley and baked peaches. A splash of water releases some flinty minerality, along with floral notes of honeysuckle and jasmine. ON THE PALATE: A gently spicy mouthfeel leads into a burst of sweet and spicy flavours, including heather honey, gingerbread, hazelnut praline, fudge, toffee and a touch of clove. Nuttiness from the Amontillado cask is always present, while a lingering aftertaste has touches of marzipan, coconut and freshly baked fruit loaf.
