Just as the water flows downwards, so too do the delicate lines of the round jute lampshade. The lampshades are largely handcrafted by artisans in Vietnam. The ceiling light is made from jute, a popular natural fibre renowned for its unique properties. As well as being robust, jute is highly elastic and tear-resistant. It is mainly grown in fertile alluvial soils, which mean that the undemanding jute plant does not require any fertiliser.
