Multi-Lite designer pendant light: adjustable metal shade with variable light direction The Multi-Lite pendant light is based on a design by Danish designer Louis Weisdorf from 1972. The internationally renowned designer and architect skilfully expresses his design diversity. The lampshade is made of two outer metal elements in the form of quarter spheres, which are held by an outer ring and can be arranged variably around two cylinders arranged in the centre. The cylinders shield the light from the sides and allow it to escape upwards and downwards. The quarter spheres can be grouped together to form a hemisphere, for example, and either direct the light completely downwards, direct the light indirectly upwards or shield it at the sides. In this way, not only can new lighting effects be created time and time again, but also a new look that acts as a creative eye-catcher. After graduating from the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 1954, Louise Weisdorf worked in a wide variety of fields, including the construction industry and the Tivoli amusement park in Copenhagen, where he held the position of chief assistant for ten years. At the end of the 1960s, he opened his own Studio together with the architect Ole Panton. He has worked both nationally and internationally and with well-known designers such as Poul Henningsen and Verner Panton. His works are also traded as collector's items at auctions. The GUBI company - founded in 1967 - sells furniture and lights of the highest quality worldwide that meet even the most discerning demands.

Lamp MastersThe Multi-Lite Pendant Ø36 Brass/Midnight Blue was designed by Louis Weisdorf back in 1972. It consists of two inner, cylindrical lampshades while the two-quarter lampshades in a spherical shape make up the outer lampshades and can be rotated individually around the axis. The distinct lamp is easily adjusted from one setting to the other, directing the light upwards or downwards, or creating an asymmetrical or artistic light. The construction of the lamp and the adjustable lampshades ensures the utmost functionality and invites you to play around with the light. The lamp is available in a range of colours and shaped like a ring of either brass or chrome. The glossy metals continue to dominate in Scandinavian interior design, and they give rise to a unique expression when paired with the Nordic style. Place the lamp above your dining or coffee table, and allow it to illuminate the meeting point. You can also place it in one of the dark corners of your home, letting it light up the room and contribute a decorative expression to the atmosphere.
