Multi-Lite pendant luminaire - design icon with sophisticated construction The Multi-Lite pendant luminaire can justifiably be called a design classic. The Dane Louis Weisdorf created this timeless, decorative light source with the adjustable shade as early as 1972, just a few years after opening his own studio in Copenhagen. Weisdorf (born in 1932), after graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, worked for many years as an architect and designer in various fields, including ten years as chief assistant to the chief architect at the famous Copenhagen amusement park Tivoli. Some of the objects created by Weisdorf are today also in demand as collector's items at auctions. The shade of Multi-Lite is made of individual metal elements - two cylinders in the middle, surrounded by two quarter spheres, which can be moved on the outer ring in such a way that the light is emitted indirectly upwards, directly downwards or asymmetrically. In this way, a lighting mood can be created that is completely adapted to requirements. Optically, too, it is possible to create a constantly new eye-catcher. The Multi-Lite pendant lamp is a quality product from Gubi, a Danish manufacturer of selected furniture and lighting fixtures that impress with their design and flawless finish.

Lamp MastersThe Multi-Lite pendant in Chrome/Black embodies the Golden Era of Danish design, thanks to its characteristic shape consisting of two opposing adjustable shades. These make it possible to create a personal expression and a wide range of light intensities in the room. By rotating the lampshades individually, the Multi-Lite pendant can be positioned in various ways, directing the light upwards, downwards, or asymmetrically into the room for a more artistic feel. Multi-Lite was drawn up for the first time in 1972, when Louis Weisdorf made an exception to his usual rule of only using repeating elements. This design reflects his passion for diversity. The lamp is based on two cylindrical shapes, surrounded by a metal ring. The ring anchors two partially spherical lampshades, which complete the iconic design that serves various purposes. Multi-Lite has a timeless expression that is well-suited for any style of décor.
