The structure with a decorative, spiral element below the shade is made of polished brass - as is a counterweight that allows the height of the lampshade to be adjusted. The design of this 1950s-style hanging light comes from industrial designer Paavo Tynell, whose concepts are considered milestones in Finnish lighting design and who is known as "the man who made Finland light".
