The name of the table lamp, I Ricchi Poveri Monument for a Bulb, already reveals that Maurer once again wanted to pay tribute to the traditional light bulb with this design object. The traditional light bulb and, with it, the light reign supreme in this lamp – even above people. The small figures gathered at the foot of the light bulb are made of nickel silver. With the exception of the seated figure, the other figures can be distributed as desired among the existing drill holes. Like a memorial, the LED bulb, held by thin brass rods, towers above the people. It is powered by a soldered red wire that disappears into the base plate and ends in a connection socket. I Ricchi Poveri Monument for a Bulb is continuously dimmable via a slider on the electronic transformer.
