The use of the PMR 446MHz frequency does not require a license and is available in most countries of the European Union for both business and private use. Depending on the surrounding relief, the range can vary from a few hundred metres (in a city) to a few kilometres (open landscape). The functions of the PNI PMR R15 station can be adjusted using the programming software (the PNI PSR15 programming kit is sold separately). You can customize functions such as Time Out Timer, Squelch Level, Voide Prompt, Power Save, VOX or Scramble. They have 50 CTCSS codes and 107 DCS tones for private conversations. Connect the PMR station to the included desktop charger. Connect the charger power supply to a 230V power source. During charging, the LED on the charger lights up red and turns green when the battery is fully charged.
