Each canvas measures 70 x 100cm (28 x 40 inches) and has a thickness of around 1.7cm (0.67 inches). The wedges measure 5.5 x 1.5cm (2.17 x 0.59 inches). WOODEN WEDGES FOR DESIRED TENSION: Every set sold comes with 8 wooden wedges (also known as canvas keys or stretcher bar keys). These can be inserted and gently tapped with a hammer into the canvas bars on the back before or after painting. Wooden wedges can be used to finish the stretching of a canvas and to give it that last bit of tightening. READY TO USE WITH OIL & ACRYLIC PAINT: These canvas have been primed with 2 layers and are delivered pre stretched over a solid wooden frame, which is secured with staples. This ensures a neat, straight fit over the wood with the canvas material not bunching up on the frame at the back. The canvas is made of cotton. Each set comes wrapped in a thin layer of plastic to ensure the canvas stay white and pristine whilst in transit.
