From first-fill barrel #88, only 248 bottles released, delivering a full-flavoured, cereal-led profile with sweetness and structure from new oak. Lochlea Thompson Bros Single Malt Scotch 6 year old 57.1% ABV Nose: Toasted brioche, pear compote and ripe peaches mingle with boiled sweets, Jelly Babies, vanilla custard and a kiss of green ginger wine. Palate: Toasted oak frames a palate of charred French Fancies, old fruit sweets and caramelised bananas, with a lightly salty whisper of grape and melon skins in brine. Finish: Long and sweetly oaky, with lingering confectionery notes, fruit skins and gentle salinity.
