Hand-selected blanks for self-striking, LP skin blanks are ideal for upgrading beginner bongos or bongos for which replacement skins are no longer available. Skin blanks are manufacturer-independent and adapt optimally to any shell and tension hoop (rim). Thickness: approx. 1 mm (Bongo, Batá), material: untanned buffalo skin Hints: Continue to use the metal ring from the old coat. To prepare the change of coat, let the old coat and the blank soak in warm water for approx. 3-4 hours. This allows the metal ring to be removed and gives the blank the necessary consistency for further processing. The sizes indicated are downward compatible and are suitable for boilers up to the crown diameter indicated., LP wire rings (Skin Wire) are available for common tension hoop sizes.
