McAlpine MACVALVE-1 Self Closing Waste Valve 1¼ inch White

The MacValve self-closing waste valve is designed to control the flow of waste water from sinks or basins. It can be fitted in either horizontal or vertical positions, with the membrane opening under water pressure to allow discharge and closing to form a seal that helps prevent foul odours or sewer gases from entering the building. When installed horizontally, the flow arrow must be in the uppermost position. The valve is suitable for installations where a non-return is beneficial and can be used to take the discharge from a pressure relief valve on an unvented domestic hot water storage system. The valve is made from white ABS plastic and is available with a 1¼ inch inlet.

The MacValve features a sealed membrane that maintains its position during operation, contributing to reliable performance over time. It is not recommended for use with shower trays unless there is access for maintenance.
