Description

Amazon THREE READINGS FROM ONE METER: This analogue test meter measures standing wave ratio, RF power and field strength on two needle dials, so CB operators, truckers and radio technicians can check a whole aerial installation from one 120 mm wide case instead of buying three separate instruments. CB BAND 27 TO 30 MHZ ONLY: This meter is built for the 27-30 MHz CB band, so it suits CB rigs and CB aerials, and it is not designed for VHF or UHF handhelds or for the HF amateur bands that sit below 27 MHz. Check the band your radio works on before you order. DUAL POWER RANGES, 10 W AND 100 W: Two slide switches sit between the dials. The upper one picks the 10 W or the 100 W scale so the needle reads properly on a low-power set as well as on a full-power CB rig, and the lower one selects FWD or REF so you can read forward power first and then reflected power while you tune an aerial towards a 1:1 SWR. FIELD STRENGTH AERIAL SUPPLIED: A short screw-in aerial comes in the box and fits the threaded stud on the TX side of the case, which turns the meter into a field strength meter for checking how well an aerial actually radiates. The F.S. row on the dials is marked 0 to 10 with no unit, so it compares signal between positions rather than reporting an absolute field strength figure. IN THE BOX AND WHAT IS NOT: You get one SWR and power meter, one field strength aerial and one English manual. No coaxial patch lead and no connector are supplied, so you need your own 50 ohm coax made up with the usual PL-259 plugs, one run from the radio to the TX socket and one from the ANT socket to the aerial.
