The DCM305E has a 4000 count backlit digital display with true-RMS readings on all six AC ranges; the ranges being 6 mA, 60 mA, 600 mA, 6 A, 60 A and 100 A. The meter has a resolution of 0.001 mA (6mA range).
The user selectable 50/60Hz low pass filter offers accurate measurements in circuits with relatively high harmonics.
A compare option offers preset values of 0.25 mA, 0.5 mA and 3.5 mA with a visual / audible indication when the measured leakage current exceeds these values.
Automatic / Manual ranging.
Data / Peak Hold.
Auto power-off (20 min; user-selectable).

Due to the design of the 40 mm jaw the DCM305E allows current measurements on un-insulated conductors and busbars though personal protection against shock should still be maintained.
