🌸 Distilled in Provence, France, this pale salmon-pink coloured gin is based on neutral grape spirit redistilled with 12 botanicals: juniper berries, coriander seeds, orris root, pink grapefruit, cardamom, grains of paradise, pink peppercorns, eucalyptus, fennel, basil, mint and thyme. 🌸 Firstly, a single-shot gin is made by distilling the six traditional gin botanicals together ( cardamon, grains of paradise, pink pepper, juniper, iris and coriander). The six Provençal botanicals (thyme, basil, fennel, pink grapefruit, eucalyptus and mint), all hand-picked from the nearby mountain slopes of nearby Montagne du Lure, are infused and distilled separately. The two gins are then blended together. 🌸 Pine, eucalyptus and zesty grapefruit freshness with black pepper and cardamom spice. 🌸 Faintly sweet with piney juniper, eucalyptus, assertive spice, nutty angelica, zesty citrus and floral violet (presumably from the Orris Root). 🌸 The pink hue apparently comes from the pink grapefruit which we presume are also macerated after distillation. 🌸 One of the better and more serious examples of a "pink gin" with pleasing citrus and floral notes, but these are somewhat dominated by peppery spice (grains of paradise, pink peppercorns and cardamom). Attractive packaging with a nifty glass stopper.
