THE BASE I The Net1 Competitor Basketball System features a 45-litre ‘Hex Base’. The base is made from high-density, blow-moulded polyurethane which should be filled with either sand or water. While sturdy and stable, the Hex Base is also fully-portable – simply tilt it back and use the two multi-directional wheels to wheel it around. The Hex Base also has a 270° recessed design which maximises space around the rim, making lay-ups and under-the-hoop play just that little bit easier. THE POST I The Competitor’s has a hard-wearing, three-piece powder coated post with 1.2mm wall thickness. The post is 7.62mm in diameter and features NET1’s telescopic height adjustment system which allows players to change the height of the hoop in seconds, without the use of tools. Players can use The Competitor at six different heights, from 2.28m (7'5") up to official game height 3.05m (10”). A NET1 protective pole pad is also included. THE BACKBOARD I The game-shaped Competitor backboard is made from impact resistant-polypropylene and has UV inhibitors to reduce discolouration. A rear-mounted steel T-Bar gives offers stability and improves rebound characteristics over non-supported backboards. THE HOOP I The Competitor’s fixed, solid full-size, high visibility orange steel rim has a 2.5mm backplate for added stability. A hard-wearing all-weather 12-loop nylon net completes the system. THE PLAYER I The Competitor is our entry level adult basketball system designed for those players who’ve outgrown NET1’s junior hoops and looking for their first full-size personal basketball experience.

The NET1 Competitor Basketball Hoop is ideal for general basketball games and practice and features a 111 x 71cm contact injection rectangular pp backboard with UV inhibitors and T-bar support. It has a 16mm solid steel hoop with a rim diameter of 45.72cm with 2.5mm backplate. It comes with an all-weather 12 loop net and a 7.62cm diameter, 3 piece powder coated pole which has a 1.2mm wall thickness. The telescopic collar height adjusts in seconds without the use of tools and can change the height from 2.28 - 3.05m (7'6" - 10’). Included is a protective pole pad and a 38 litre blow moulded base that can be filled with either sand or water. If using water, be sure to add antifreeze in colder conditions to avoid the base cracking. The base is portable thanks to the two rear facing wheels.
