Moo can be described as a wall lamp that goes all in, and certainly doesn’t lack confidence. This is a complete show of force for your wall. The basic shape of the lamp is indisputable. It’s a full-sized head from a Norwegian elk, brought to life by its use of light. Some would call it kitsch, but we just call it humour with a solid backbone. Moo is IP44 certified, which means that you can use it both indoors and out. The shade is fabricated from poly-resin, making it smooth and transparent. This shines a diffuse light on its surroundings. The light sources in the horns of the lamp add to the overall effect - this lamp doesn’t do anything halfway. The inspiration for Moo comes from the north of Norway. Up in Hamarøy, where both designers have holiday homes, there are beautiful views wherever you look and that’s where the inspiration comes from. You often see elks close to homes and in gardens. The designers hope that Moo will stand out as a postmodern trophy that makes its owner smile when they look at the king of the Norwegian forest.

A trophy of light: the designer wall lamp MooThis lamp in the shape of a moose's head reproduces its real-life model in lifelike dimensions. But the designers Trond Svendgard and Ove Rogne, inspired by this animal, did more than just reproduce the moose in all its glory. They conceived a luminaire body made of polyresin, which convinces with a pleasing illumination from within. The absolutely glare-free light that fills the moose's head comes from four energy-saving bulbs (not included), which are located in the animal's head and antlers. This creates a very unique luminaire for living rooms and hallways, which becomes a unique design element.
