Lamp Masters
The Birdy wall light Short Grey has been proving for 60 years that good design can withstand the test of time. Birdy is an elegant lighting series consisting of table lamps, floor lamps and wall lights, all of which are available in two different lengths. The first sketches were drawn in 1952 in a modernist style that is still razor-sharp and highly contemporary today.
NOTE
The lampshade has the same colour on the inside as on the outside.
The colour options in the series range from black/brass to white/chrome to grey/chrome, making it a decisive factor in the versatile applications of the lights.
The Birdy Wall Light Short Grey is part of an award-winning lighting series that was produced and distributed for many years by the Norwegian electricity company Sønnico in Oslo. The table lamp received the highly prestigious "Golden Medal" award at the Triennale in Milan, at that time still under the name "s-30016". The name Birdy is certainly more fitting.
After several years on the shelf, this design classic was revived by Northern Lighting in 2013 and brought back onto the market. A great deal of energy was put into preserving the original form and extremely functional properties, as these were the main reasons for the lights' popularity.

Lights.coPractical Birdy wall light with power cord and plug The Birdy wall light is a practical lighting fixture for use next to the bed or reading chair. The lampshade is connected to the arm and wall mount by a joint and can be individually adjusted. The wall light also has a 200 cm long power cord with plug and pull switch. The design, which dates back to the 1950s, was developed by Norwegian designer Birger Dahl (1916-1998). Dahl's designs are characterised by clear forms that do not hide behind decorative flourishes. The cone-shaped lampshade of the Birdy wall light and its purist appearance are also typical of Dahl's style.
