Osmo Country Colour is an opaque exterior oil finish for joinery that combines the benefits of oil with the look of paint. It offers a microporous, breathable coating that won’t crack or peel and requires no sanding for maintenance. The finish is extremely weather and UV resistant and provides good water and dirt resistance. It helps reduce wood swelling and shrinkage while hiding the natural wood grain. The product is ready to use, with a drying time of 10–12 hours and a coverage of 26 m² per litre per coat, typically applied in two coats on exterior wood surfaces. For best results, prepare the wood to be clean, dry and frost-free with moisture content max 20%, and consider applying the first coat to all sides before installation. Old microporous stains should be cleaned, and old paints or lacquers must be completely removed. A trial application is advised, as performance can vary with wood condition.

Usage

1. Osmo Country Colour is ready to use.
2. Do not thin.
3. Stir well before use.
4. If possible, apply the first coat to all sides before installation.
5. Clean old microporous stains thoroughly.
6. Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed.
7. As a general rule, wear a dust mask during sanding works.
8. A trial application is recommended to assess performance on unfamiliar surfaces.
