Osmo Country Colour is an opaque exterior oil finish designed for joinery, offering the benefits of oil with the look of paint. It provides a microporous, breathable coating that resists weather, UV light, water and dirt, helping to reduce wood swelling and shrinkage while keeping the natural grain hidden. The finish is designed to be maintenance-friendly, with no sanding required for future applications and a drying time of 10–12 hours. It is ready to use, does not require thinning, and recommends applying the first coat to all sides before installation when possible.

This exterior finish is suitable for wood surfaces that are clean, dry and frost-free, with a maximum moisture content of 20%. Old microporous stains should be cleaned, and old paints or lacquers must be completely removed. The process may involve sanding; a dust mask is recommended. The final appearance and performance depend on wood condition, so a trial application is advised, particularly for unfamiliar substrates.
