Osmo Polyx-Oil Tints offer a satin, transparent wood finish that enhances the natural beauty of wood while providing long-lasting protection. Formulated as a hard wax oil, it creates a durable, microporous surface that resists liquids such as water, tea, juice, cola and wine, helping to guard against spills, scratches and scuffs on interior wood surfaces. The finish is suitable for a range of wood applications, including floors, furniture, doors and joinery, and comes in multiple colours, including Black, White, Light Grey, Honey, Amber, Terra, Graphite and more. It is made from vegetable oils and waxes, producing a natural, breathable coating that does not crack, peel or flake. Coverage is approximately 30㎡ per litre per coat, with a lightly stained look achievable by wiping away the product along the grain within 20 minutes. Drying and curing times allow full hard-wearing protection, with full cure typically within 2–3 weeks. The product emphasises safety for use around children’s environments and is suitable for toys, thanks to saliva- and sweat-resistance. Easy to apply after preparing the wood by removing old finishes and smoothing imperfections, then applying thinly.

Usage

1. Prepare wood by stripping old finishes and filling imperfections.
2. Sand, wipe and apply wax oil thinly.
3. For a lightly stained effect, wipe away the product within 20 minutes after application along the wood grain, then dry for 24 hours.
