PENDERYN WHISKY- Penderyn Distillery is the home of Welsh Whisky. We are Wales’ first whisky distillery in over 100 years and produce award-winning single malt from 3 distilleries in Brecon Beacons, Llandudno, and the Swansea Copperworks. THE ICONS SERIES- Each bottling in Penderyn’s Icons of Wales Series celebrates a significant person, milestone or events from Wales. Copperopolis is #12 in the series and celebrates the history of our newest distillery, the Copperworks, in Swansea. COPPEROPOLIS- Swansea became known as Copperopolis because from 1720, 90% of the world’s copper was smelted in the area! Penderyn’s new distillery is the powerhouse of the old Copperwork’s building, which turned Welsh ore into quality copper. TASTING NOTES- Floral and fruity nose of orange blossom, peaches, cherries and vanilla. The palate is rich caramel and honey with a bouquet of figs, raisins and light oak spice. The luscious mouthfeel leads to an oaky finish with a dust of cocoa. ENJOY- This rich and complex whisky is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to truly savour the palate. The beautifully presented and collectable bottle is also ideal for gifting whisky lovers, especially those with a proud Welsh heritage!
