The light supports many ambiences thanks to the broad spectrum from warm white to daylight, and thanks to the built-in Bluetooth module, it can be controlled directly via smartphone/tablet with the Philips Hue Bluetooth app - without any other devices. It also communicates via the ZigBee protocol, which enables direct control with the Hue dimmer switch (see accessories) and also opens up the whole world of smart lighting control thanks to integration with Hue and all other ZigBee-based smart home systems.
