AWARDS: Gold – Concours International de Vins MUNDUS, Slovakia Cabernet-Sauvignon de Purcari is a red wine with attitude: vigorous, virile, and robust. An intense ruby color flecked purple with a rich aroma, dominated by black cherry, complemented by fine notes of exotic spices. The taste is full, complex, with notes of ripe fruit, chocolate, vanilla and raisins. Soft tannins emphasize the roundness and softness of aftertaste with shades of ripening. Made from grapes harvested and selected by hand, produced by the traditional method. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrique. Food pairing: Veined cheese, beef tenderloin with Gorgonzola sauce. To enjoy the wine’s fruity notes, it is not recommended with chocolate. Purcari wines are aged exclusively in French oak barriques with a capacity of 225 liters. Depending on the variety, the aging period varies from 6 to 18 months, while the wines enrich with tannins and flavour components, which give to the taste and aroma of wine elegant notes of wood, vanilla and chocolate. After aging in barrique, the wine is cold bottled under sterile conditions, then a natural cork stopper is applied and the wine continues its aging in the bottle for another 6 months
