When the filter turns from baby blue to gray, it's done its job. REUSABLE FILTER: WASH MONTHLY, REPLACE EVERY 6 MONTHS: The darker blue foam filter handles larger particles and debris. Rinse with warm water once a month, let it air dry completely before reinstalling. Replace the foam filter every 6 months or when it loses its shape. 10-SECOND INSTALLATION: Open the filter cover on the back of your DreamStation 1. Foam filter goes in first (closest to the machine), then the disposable pollen filter on top. No tools.
