A CORNER OF TUSCANY, MAREMMA: The ideal example of a Tuscan farm, Rocca di Montemassi is a mosaic of technology and wisdom that cultivates grains and Maremma livestock, all while being home to vineyards that generate wines full of strength and character LE FOCAIE: Translates as flint, Le Focaie highlights the benefits of the Maremma mineral deposits in a balanced red wine with gentle tannins and a long finish blended from 70% Sangiovese grapes and 30% other international varieties. Best served at 16-18°C THE CRAFT: Grape musts are collected from different fully ripe varietals and fermented separately in vertical tanks for 10 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is blended and ages for 6 months in oak barrels with further fine-tuning in the bottle ENJOY EVERY GLASS: an intense and full bouquet that offers pleasant notes of violets, cherries and wild berries with hints of tobacco which leads into a structured palate that is pleasantly fresh with a soft, persistent finish SUGGESTIONS ON SERVING: A harmonious wine, the Le Focaie pairs excellently when accompanying preserved meats of the Tuscan tradition, savoury introductory dishes, grilled red meats and moderately aged Pecorini cheeses
