Ronseal Direct To Metal Paint Black Satin 2.5L

Ronseal Direct to Metal Paint is a water-based coating designed to provide a tough, durable finish on metal surfaces. It can be applied directly to rust without a primer, making application efficient for various metal conditions. Suitable for interior and exterior bare metal, including cast iron, galvanised steel, aluminium, stainless steel, as well as wood and PVC. The paint covers about 8 square meters per litre and dries to a showerproof finish in 30 minutes, with a typical coat time of 2–4 hours. For best protection, 2–3 coats are recommended. Available in Gloss, Satin, and Matt finishes in several colours, this product delivers up to 15 years of protection and can be applied using a brush, roller, or sprayer. It is water-based with low VOC content and comes in sizes including 250 ml, 750 ml, and 2.5 L. Before use, ensure the metal surface is clean, dry, and free from dirt, dust, and grease, and remove loose rust or paint from bare metal as needed.
