Usage and preparation

Ensure the room is warm and well-ventilated. Prepare the wood by wiping it down with a cloth and white spirit to remove any wax, grease, dirt, or oil. Sand the surface with 120 grit sandpaper to smooth rough patches, and remove any peeling or flaking old coating for an even surface. Allow the dust to settle and wipe it away with a damp cloth before varnishing. Stir the varnish well to smooth out any lumps before use.
