Usage and preparation

Ensure the room is warm and well-ventilated. Prepare the wood by wiping it down with a cloth and white spirit to remove wax, grease, dirt, and oil. Sand the surface with 120 grit sandpaper to smooth rough patches and remove any peeling or flaking old coatings for an even surface. Allow dust to settle, then wipe it away with a damp cloth before varnishing. Stir the varnish well to smooth it before application.
