Sikkens Cetol HLS Plus Translucent Woodstain is a low-build, solvent-borne, semi-gloss woodstain designed for exterior use. It is highly translucent to enhance the beauty of woodgrain while providing protection against mould and algae, UV radiation, peeling, and cracking. The product is microporous and water-repellent, suitable as both a base stain and a finishing coat on exterior softwood and hardwood substrates. It can be used on cladding, fascias, soffits, rough sawn timber, and fencing, and may serve as a finishing coat or as a base stain for subsequent coats. As a base stain, it penetrates timber to create a sound foundation for finishing coats and can be used alone as part of a system on cladding, decking, and garden furniture, or as a base stain before applying Cetol Filter 7 Plus or Cetol THB Plus on windows and doors.
