ABOUT STAUNING KAOS: The name “KAOS” is based in Danish history, when Thorvald Stauning used the phrase “Stauning or Chaos” to win re-election as Prime Minister in 1935. This whisky brings you both Stauning and KAOS. LOCAL INGREDIENTS: Made with 100% local Danish grains - rye and barley - that are floor malted in the distillery and dried using local Danish peat and heather, then double distilled in 24 small direct-fired copper pot stills to produce whisky with a rich flavour. A marriage of single malt, smoked single malt, and rye whisky creating a complex yet smooth taste, adding hints of smoke and spice to Stauning’s signature rye whisky. The smoked single malt is smoked with dried heather as well as traditional Danish peat; a uniquely Danish style of smoky whisky. TASTE AND CHARACTER. DESIGNED IN DENMARK: Matured in a selection of virgin American white oak barrels, and first-fill fortified wine and spirits oak casks. Delivering notes of citrus fruits, subtle smoke, and sweet spice.
