It was originally designed in 1957 by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, and just two examples were produced for the Milan Chamber of Commerce the following year. Saliscendi is height-adjustable during operation. The head and reflective disc glide silently along the cables, ensuring perfectly modulated lighting. The two elements move in opposite directions and, depending on the distance between them, emit more direct or indirect light. The canopy and lampshades are made of metal. A powerful topLED LED module with a CRI value of 90 is installed, ensuring excellent colour rendering. It produces warm white light, which is dimmable externally via DALI-2 Push-DIM.
