Amazon FIT FOR A KING - To mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III on 6th May, 2023, Taylor’s has set aside a very limited amount of Very Very Old Tawny Port to be bottled as a commemorative limited edition. TASTING NOTES - The wine owes much of its seductive character to a magical blend of spice notes-nutmeg, clove and black pepper-which emerges as the wine opens up in the glass. The palate is fresh and vibrant, with acidity and spirit both beautifully integrated, and there is the smooth silky texture which is the hallmark of the finest cask aged Ports. The intense, complex flavours linger into the seemingly endless finish. Elegant and graceful, this wine has reached perfect drinking age. FOOD PAIRINGS - Taylor’s Very Very Old Tawny is an excellent accompaniment to many desserts. It combines well with flavours of figs, almonds and caramel. It pairs well with a crème brulée or a plate of wild strawberries. It may also be enjoyed on its own, at the end of the meal, with walnuts or dried fruit. IDEAL GIFT - This port makes the ideal gift for a work colleague, friend or simply yourself! PRODUCER - Taylors are one of the leading port houses, founded by Job Bearsley in 1692. Today the estate is led by Adrian Bridge, with David Guimaraens as head winemaker. Taylors Vintage Port is one of the great iconic wines. Made only in the very finest years, vintage port is blended from the best produce of the Quinta de Vargellas, Quinta de Terra Feita, and Quinta do Junco estates.
