A traditional heavy-duty woodscrew designed for timber-to-timber connections, attaching ironmongery to timber, or into masonry with the use of a nylon plug. Pilot holes may be required for certain hardwoods. Dimensions are 12 x 150 mm with a zinc finish and a hex head. The screw uses a 60° self-tapping thread and is made from carbon steel, suitable for hardwoods, softwoods, and brick (with plug). It is supplied in boxes containing 25 screws and conforms to DIN 571 and BS EN 14592:2008 standards. A typical thread length is approximately two-thirds of the overall screw length.
