This Classic Multi-Purpose Screw is manufactured from Austenitic Stainless Steel (A2-304) for superior corrosion resistance in demanding environments. It is designed for fixing to softwoods, hardwood (pre-drilled), chipboard, MDF, and plastic, with stainless steel recommended where the base material or surroundings may be corrosive. The screw combines features that enhance durability and ease of use, including a double countersunk head to reduce head shear and improve countersinking, and a 25° sharp point to aid penetration. Its 40° deep single thread provides high pull-out resistance, while surface hardening up to 750 HV helps prevent torque-related wear. The combination of these attributes makes it suitable for use in both internal and exposed conditions where corrosion resistance is important, including environments with moderate salt exposure.
