A traditional heavy-duty woodscrew designed for timber-to-timber connections, attaching ironmongery to timber, or securing into masonry with a nylon plug. It is suitable for use in hardwood or softwood, with pilot holes sometimes required for hardwoods. The screw features a hex head, zinc-plated and passivated finish, and carbon steel construction. The thread runs most of the length to provide strong engagement, with a 120 mm thread length on a 200 mm overall screw. It complies with DIN 571 and BS EN 14592:2008 standards, making it suitable for demanding timber-to-timber or metal-to-timber applications where joints undergo heavy use.
